Not As Bad As I Thought

While working on my book, I read a lot about our most overrated president, Illinois native Ronald Wilson Reagan. As much as I wanted to hate him, I found that he wasn't such a bad guy. He had a sense of humor and he had a personality. He led an interesting life as a lifeguard, radio broadcaster, actor, and president of the Screen Actors Guild. If you take away 1980-1988, I would probably like him, but I can't overlook all the disastrous policies he promoted and enacted as president. And the legacy-building cult that developed around him disgusts me. Still, I would never be as charitable about our current POTUS, who is evil through and through. And no, this post has nothing to do with my learning yesterday that The Reagan Review Blog(!) links to me.
